Posting about the World Cup a few days ago has left me thinking about the many ways in which sports, particularly professional sporting events, can impact the environment or public health. Leaving aside the many health issues associated with performance-enhancing drugs, and the health impacts of evolving protective equipment (football helmets and concussions, for example), [...]  Perhaps I missed this part of Obama’s agenda: off-shore drilling. I thought that was more Sarah Palin’s bag! I for one was very excited to vote in a new President with forward thinking views and a whole new energy policy but the latest transmission says otherwise. Obama is planning on opening the coastline up to [...] Is it just me or was the hype leading up to Copenhagen much bigger than the actual reporting of the event itself? I see an article here or there but I was expecting it to make much bigger headlines. (Thanks a lot, Tiger Woods) The word is that everyone is waiting for Obama to arrive [...] |
