Everyone knows that recycling is a huge part of environmental action. And everyone knows that the Americans are greatly lagging in the recycling department. I have been to cities in very forward thinking states that do not have a municipal recycling program. Europe is way ahead of the US on many environmental fronts, particularly recycling. [...]

Mountaintop mining was a common occurence during the Bush administration. It was a big hope that once Obama took office this practice would be stopped.
